Kukio Resort

The newest of the resorts along the Kohala Coast, Kukio is the only resort that does not feature a hospitality/hotel component. It offers a short course on the makai side of the highway and a championship 18 hole golf course on the mauka side both designed by Tom Fazio. Unlike the other resorts along the coast, Kukio is modeled after mainland private country clubs. It is a members-only resort with exclusive use of all their facilities reserved for the owners.

Hualalai Resort

Anchored by the Four Seasons Hotel it features a signature Jack Nicklaus course and a members-only Tom Weiskopf course which is still in the process of completing its final 9 holes. Condominium projects include the Golf Villas, Hillside Villas, Estate Villas, Palm Villas, Fairway Villas, Ka’ulu Villas, Waiulu Villas, Hales and Villas at Ke Alaula. Residential developments include Ka Malino Estates, Ka’ulu Estates, Waiulu Estates, Kumukehu Estates, Anea Estates, Lau-eki and Lau-eki Place Estates. Private beach club, and the newer golf course are reserved for the owners, while the tennis facility, health spa, original golf course and beach are shared with hotel guests.

Home to the Mauna Lani Bay and Fairmont Orchid Hotels, this resort offers its owners exclusive use of its private beach club, tennis facilities, and spa. Owners may reserve advanced tee times and are given generous discounts at either the North or South courses, designed by Ray Cain, Robert Nelson and Rodney Wright. Mauna Lani’s residential developments are Champion Ridge, The Point Estates, The Golf Estates, The Cape, 49 Black Sand Beach, and the newest offering Pauoa Beach. Condominiums at the resort are The Terraces, The Point, The Islands, and the newest offering The Villages. Current prices start in the mid $400,000 and extend to $8.25M for the most expensive oceanfront lot.

Mauna Kea Resort

Originally developed by Lawrence Rockefeller, Mauna Kea was the first resort built in South Kohala. It is anchored by the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel fronting Kauna’oa Bay
and the Hapuna Prince Hotel at Hapuna Beach. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed its original golf course on the makai side of the property and the mauka course was designed by a partnership of Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. Mauna Kea’s oceanfront tennis facility is world class. Residential projects include The North Fairways, South Fairways, Oceanfront Bluffs, High Bluffs, Moani Heights and Apa’apa’a Heights. The Villas at Mauna Kea and Kumulani at the Uplands are the resorts 2 condominium projects. Owners at the resort have privileged access to either beach club, tennis, spa and golf. Current pricing starts at the mid $500,000s and go to $11,250,000 for the most expensive home at the resort.

Built around the beautiful Anaeho’omalu Bay, Waikoloa Beach Resort features 2 hotels, the Marriot Outrigger and Hilton Waikoloa, an upscale shopping mall, The Kings Shops, and 5 condominium projects, The Bay Club (time/share), The Shores, The Vistas, Waikoloa Colony and Waikoloa Fairways. The latter 2 are new developments in their initial offering stages. The resort features 2 golf courses. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Waikoloa Beach Course and the King’s Course was designed by Tom Weiskopf. Owners at the resort get preferential treatment at the golf courses. Prices at the resort start in the mid $200,000s to $3+M for the beach lots.
